To provide you with good, old fashioned Service.”

There, I’ve said it, no Corporate diluted soundbites, no frills or fuss.

FieryFreedom 4X4 was founded on the desire to go back to the days of my parents where Service really was Service and the Customer put first.

Trevor is following his passion for Toyotas and has 7 years experience of ownership, repairs, modification and driving offroad.

Trevor has enjoyed ownership from the 70 right through to the 120 Series Landcruiser.

Working  on his own projects, Trevor is a  stickler for a job being done right. It’s fair to say he is as precise in the planning as in the execution and takes great pride in the fact.

Having been asked by family and friends to assist in buying various vehicles and called upon to maintain them, the subject of working on other LandCruisers had been loosely discussed many times and eventually Freedom 4X4 was born.

Working to “feed the soul” is proving wonderfully satisfying.

  • I love LandCruisers just a much as you do.
  • The jobs got to be right, I don’t stop until it is.
  • I don’t do work that isn’t needed.
  • Prices are extremely competitive.
  • The Devil is in the detail.
  • I actually care about you and listen first and work from there.
  • I stand behind all my work with my head held high.
  • I value your business and work hard to keep it.

  • Thank you for sourcing my Defender and all the prep work you put into it. The spotlights and stereo were just the finishing touches I was after.

Looking forward to seeing you at the next service.Al - Brackley

  • The chequer plate has turned out better than I’d imagined, great job and lovely finish. My headlights are tons better after the loom change,

    Thanks GuysAntonia - Brackley

  • I needed some bits designing & fabricating fitted to my LC80 after the suspension lift to re-set the anti-roll bars, and drop the bump stops.

On short notice so I could test it at Yarwell this weekend, Trevor & Ed stepped in and came up with a good design solution which was bolt on, rather than butchering the drop links and welding in extensions. Watching them drill out and tap at least 3 sheared bolts in the chassis made me fell a lot better about not doing it myself

Even when they’d finished the job I’d booked in, they carried on, extended my axle breather and fettled the valve which was seized. Then I gave them a “while I’m here, could you just” job …. Ed pressed out my air-con tensioner bearing and stuck a new one in. They even fitted the pulley and belt. I left at 6:30 and they still had to put the tools away, should have closed at 5:00. Top Job.Peter - Woodford

  • Just a heads up to Freedom 4×4 or Trevor and Ed as most know them.

I was in the area and stopped off to say hi and give them my blessings on the set up they have.

Did a little job on the truck for me whilst I was there and all good. They make a bloody good cuppa as well.

The solar worked a treat over the weekend guys and the phone support after was great.

    Many thanks.Karl - Ashbourne

  • I spent yesterday with The Freedom 4X4 Team, aka Trevor and Ed, having the front and rear UJs, rear ARB bushes/brackets and front lower ball joints replaced on my Collie. It was a lot to fit into one day, especially as the old UJs put up a damn good fight and took some serious effort to get out.

However Trevor and Ed persevered and managed to fit all the work into one (very long) day for my convenience. They maintained their good humour throughout and took the time to explain what they were doing at each stage of the process – which as a relative DIY novice, I really appreciated, thanks.

I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for any future work and would thoroughly recommend them to other forum members.

P.S. Their tea brewing skills are almost as good as their spanner work!Chad - Watford

  • Hello Everyone,

I have a LC KDJ 120. Absolutely love it. Its been a great vehicle. I recently installed a weaco fridge in the back for camping trips. However I could not use the 12v socket in the rear while the ignition was off so I had to come up with a solution.

I gave Freedom 4X4 a call and had a good chat to Trevor and described what I wanted.. To switch out a starter battery for a leisure battery to have a permanent live feed to the 12v in the rear while using the other starter battery to start the engine.

Trevor soon got back to me with a list of solutions and the following week I had the work done. The work was top notch and I could not be happier!. I now have a battery indicator on my centre console which can also link the batteries incase the starter battery fails and keep a good eye on the battery levels. These guys really know what they are doing..

I wish that Freedom 4X4 would relocate to Chamonix France where I live so that I could get servicing and all my work done with them:) Next time I’m in the UK I will definitely get some more work done there.

  • Just like to say a big thank you to Trev and Ed at Freedom 4X4. Just completed a full front axle rebuild on my 80. Thanks for putting up with me looking over your shoulder asking many a question and getting in the way. It was very educational for me and I know the job was done properly. They overcame the usual issues with an old truck in their stride. Brilliant service and thanks for going the extra mile! I shall definitely be paying them another visit in the future, cheers.
